This blog is about DC in 2010. It contains items that were written in 2010 about 2010 by people who lived in 2010 and did not know what would happen after 2010. These items might account for things that happened before 2010 and they might include predictions for things that could happen after 2010, but they are most decidedly from 2010 and with a 2010 perspective on DC.

This blog exists because DC in 2010 existed. DC in 2010 continues to exist, though many of the things that existed in DC in 2010 no longer do.

This blog is not nostalgic. 2010 was a year just like any other year and the things that happened in DC in 2010 are the kinds of things that happen in cities and years all the time.

This blog is not meant to be comprehensive. Its selections will be those that suit the fancy of the editors, but the inclusion of any item is not an endorsement of its viewpoint.
